Paolo Masciocchi
Born in Milan, Italy, in 1978, after Classical studies Paolo Masciocchi achieved a degree in Law from the University of Milan, a PhD in Law Sciences from University of Milano-Bicocca, curriculum in Philosophy and Sociology of Law. Since 2005 he teaches Fundamnetals of Sociology of Citizenship at University of Milano-Bicocca, as contract professor for seminars. As a lecturer, he has participated in several national and international conferences, and served as chairman during the meeting of the World Research Comettee on Sociology of Law in 2008.
Masciocchi is engaged in reconstruction of the epistemological foundations of middle-range sociology, with the goal of providing a new benchmark in multi-disciplinary scientific knowledge. Interested in diverse fields of knowledge, he has focused his early academic research on the subject of citizenship, with the aim of reformulating a comprehensive, scientific framework of relationship between public institutions and individuals. He also turns his interests to social psychology, economics, neuroscience, semiotics.
He is a member of the Italian Association of Sociology, and a founder member of the Salingaros Group, founder and president of Interdisciplinary Studies & Researches Association (Associazione Studi e Ricerche Interdisciplinari, Italy), bringing together scholars from different areas of expertise to harmonize and disseminate knowledge. This association has obtained the Patronage of the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activites for its educational initiatives. He is also the founder and manager of the Innovation Management Association (Direzione Innovazione, Italy), engaged in developing a cultural movement. He cohoperates with the Centre for Economics and Social Research "Catalyst".
Member of the Rome Bar (Italy) and of the Colegio de Abogados de Lorca (Spain), he works as Civil Lawyer in Italy and Spain.
He has collaborated with the Italian newsweek Il Domenicale since 2007, and published articles and interviews in different national newspapers, such as Libero, Il Foglio, Avvenire.
He has been elected member of the Diocesan Pastoral Council of Milan, entrusted as advisor at His Eminence Archbishop Card. Angelo Scola.
